Last stop Bucharest
This was our last long drive from Transylvania to Bucharest. We stayed in the centre of Bucharest, very near to the Old Town area which has a variety of beautiful buildings and interesting sculptures. This area also has an abundance of restaurants with tables set up on the cobbled streets outside so you can enjoy the sunshine and cool breeze whilst watching people walking past. Beautiful Sibiu
The centre of Sibiu is truly beautiful with the usual beautiful buildings and there are many restaurants set up along the pedestrianised cobbled roads and at the side of the main square. Alex introduced us to a Romanian snack called Gogoasa - it was like a large deep fried dumpling filled with chocolate sauce. The texture is similar to a donut.
