Day 3 - this is the epitome of our road trip - 6 hours of driving through a flat landscape to the mountainous terrain in Brasov. The weather also changed from being truly hot at 28 degrees to rain on the mountainside and then back to being sunny later. We stopped by a fountain half way up the mountain where it is famed for its clear, fresh and cool waters. Meandering through the Danube Delta
Today has been a contrast to yesterday. We spent 6 hours meandering through the mangroves in the Danube Delta. It is amazing how large the area is and we have only covered a small section of the area. There was a group of German tourists with their Germain- speaking guide and the others were Romanian and captain of the boat only spoke in Romanian to explain the different features on our trip. At some point, music was played over the intercom - I must say it is both hilarious and rather ...
Road trip in Romania
This trip was planned months ago by my very good friend, Alex, who started off as my aupair to help me with David about 4 years ago. I have visited Barcelona a few years ago and I knew from my previous trip that we should stay as close to La Rambla as we can in order to enjoy people watching whilst having a lovely meal on the avenue. La Rambla has numerous little restaurants serving fantastic Spanish tapas. There is also an ...
